Philippines wins softball double header

The Philippine national softball team, which includes several Domingo Lacson National High School (DLNHS) students, swept their opening double header of the 2017 Pacific School Games, which kicked off yesterday at the Adelaide Shores Sports Complex in Adelaide, Australia.

The team’s day began with a game against host team South Australia, where the Philippines triumphed, 6-0. They proceeded to their second game of the morning against India, who had earlier lost 19-4 to the team representing the Australian Capital Territory.

The Philippine team had just as easy a romp, winning 15-0.

The day culminated with the games’ opening ceremonies.

Today, the Philippines meets teams from the Australian states of New South Wales and Victoria.

The event is set to run until Saturday, December 9./JSG, WDJ
