P10.9M road inaugurated in Murcia

Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. led yesterday’s inauguration of the 900-meter Murcia-Granada road project, which cost the provincial government nearly P11 million, unveiling a marker at Hacienda Binitin in the municipality’s Barangay Binitin.

A ribbon-cutting took place on a stretch of the road to be referred to as Ming Yuan Avenue.

Present alongside the governor were Murcia Mayor Andrew Montelibano; Vice Mayor Victor Gerardo Rojas; Ming Yuan College officials; Rev. Fr. Regren Dequiña, who led the blessing of the road; among others.

The mayor expressed his appreciation to the governor and the provincial government for the project./WDJ
