The Philippine Statistics Authority is reminding the public to always have the necessary documentation when conducting transactions with the government agency.
According to PSA Registration Officer II Edwin Guiking, while one does not need the authority to retrieve information on their children, spouse, or parent, there is still a requirement to provide government-issued identification, which includes driver’s license, voter’s ID, a tax identification number, a PRC-issued license, among others.
He noted, documents including a certificate of death, certificate of marriage, certificate of no marriage, or an advisory on marriage can only be issued to the bearer or a duly-authorized representative./WDJ
