A seven-year-old was killed after a dump truck tipped over and crushed him at Sitio Nabata-an, Barangay Rizal in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, Thursday.

Police identified the fatality as Kyle Nazareno, a resident of Barangay 1 in the said city.

Traffic investigators from the San Carlos City Police Station said Nazareno’s father, Jerry, and a helper, identified as Renato Gomez, were driving a truck when they lost control of their vehicle.

The vehicle hit several trees, causing it to tip over and crushing Nazareno, who happened to be in the area during the accident.

Rescuers later rushed Nazareno to the hospital, where he later died from injuries sustained from spending almost an hour underneath the tipped over truck.

The operators of the vehicle, meanwhile, suffered several injuries due to the accident./DGB, WDJ
