Bacolod City dengue cases dropped by 17 percent this year –CHO

The number of dengue cases in Bacolod City dropped by 17 percent compared to last year, based on the latest data released by the City Health Office (CHO) yesterday morning.

Bacolod City Health Office Environment and Sanitation Division head, Dr. Grace Tan, said the number of dengue cases in Bacolod City dropped by 17 percent compared to last year.
CHO Environment and Sanitation Division head, Dr. Grace Tan, said from January until November 4 of this year, they recorded a total of 1,641 dengue cases in the city.
The number of cases was lower compared to the 1,965 cases recorded last year.
However, Tan said there have been 11 fatalities this year, with the latest being a six-year-old from Barangay Sum-ag. She noted, the patient was brought to the hospital after six days of experiencing high fever.
Tan further noted, Barangay Mansilingan still tops the list in the number of dengue cases with 141, followed by Barangay Taculing with 124, and Barangay Mandalagan with 117./DGB, WDJ
