2018 AFC U-19 Championship qualification round

The Philippine U-19 national football team meets China today in the ongoing 2018 AFC U-19 Championship qualification round at the Phnom Penh Olympic Stadium in Cambodia.

The Philippines lost to Myanmar in their first group match, 6-0; while China beat Cambodia, 1-0.

Several Negrense players are on roster for today’s match, including Alimar Ambong and Al Christler dela Cruz of Bacolod City; Rez Fernando Dahan of San Carlos City; Daniel John Sijub, Lemark Unabia, and Joshua Broce of Sagay City; and Jericho Sinconiegue of Valladolid.

The top team from each group, along with the five best second place teams, will qualify for the tournament, which is scheduled to take place in Indonesia next year, from October 18 to November 4./JSG, WDJ
