During a recent summit in San Dioniso, Iloilo, intended to discuss peace and order in the province, Iloilo fifth district Rep. Raul Tupas suggested the “3Ps,” preserve peace, protect the people, and promote development.

The summit was held in the municipality as local law enforcement tagged northern Iloilo as the “most violent” part of the province.

Mayors and other local officials of San Dionisio, alongside Ajuy, Balasan, Barotac Viejo, Batad, Carles, Concepcion, Estancia, Lemery, San Rafael, and Sara, signified their commitment to preserve peace by signing a covenant.

Tupas said it is imperative to address the matter as tourist spots, including the island of Gigantes and Sicogon, are located in Carles./WDJ
