MassKara Festival: Additional law enforcement deployed for highlights, Duterte visit

A total 4,365 security forces have been deployed throughout Bacolod City for the remainder of the ongoing MassKara Festival and the expected arrival of President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday, according to Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) director, Police Chief Superintendent Cesar Hawthorne Binag.
He assured everything is in place in terms of security preparations.
During a meet and greet with local press following yesterday’s send-off ceremony for Task Force MassKara at the Bacolod City Government Center, Binag said he hopes festivities remain peaceful.
The PRO-6 chief pointed out, the Bacolod City Police Office and PRO-6 comprise 1,361 members of the force, 1,210 are from the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team, with the rest including members of the Philippine Army, reservists, the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office, and volunteers.
He added, a meeting is scheduled with the Presidential Security Group on Thursday, October 19./DGB, WDJ
