Two separate fires were recorded over the weekend in Bacolod City, in Barangays Pahanocoy and Tangub.
Bacolod City fire marshall, Fire Superintendent Rodolfo Denaga, said the first incident occurred at Bangga Aning, Barangay Pahanocoy around 2:30 a.m., last Saturday, which firefighters managed to combat within a few minutes after arriving at the scene.
Denaga said three homes, owned by Marilyn Jamera, Em-em Magluyan and Edilyn Buenaflor, were destroyed in the fire.
The homes of Elizero Jamera, Emero Jamera, and Violeta Berlin, meanwhile, were damaged in the blaze.
A few hours later, another blaze struck the home of Pastor Emmanuel Alano at Purok United Roadside, Barangay Tangub.
Denaga said there were no injuries in the incident, although Alano’s house was heavily damaged in the fire.
The fire marshall estimated the amount of damage in Pahanocoy at P400,000, while the fire in Tangub was estimated at P150,000.
He added, they are still probing the incident and have yet to figure out the cause of both blazes./DGB, WDJ
