Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) director, Police Chief Superintendent Cesar Hawthorne Binag, is scheduled to arrive in Bacolod City today for the send-off of Task Force MassKara 2017 at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC).

In a statement by Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Police Community Relations (PCR) head, Police Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, all security personnel, or those under the task force’s major events security framework, will be present for the event.

Personnel includes those overseeing peace and order, security, and emergency preparedness at festival event sites.

Following the send-off ceremony, Binag is also scheduled to meet with BCPO and Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) heads.

At present, there are at least 1,600 combined personnel from the police, army, and local volunteers who are overseeing festival security./DGB, WDJ
