The surviving kin of James Lavega, who was killed earlier this week following a family feud in Moises Padilla, accused the Royo family, of which Ernesto Royo, Lavega’s killer, was a member, of property damage and killing livestock prior to their fatal scuffle.
In a radio interview yesterday morning, Joan Lavega claimed their house was invaded by Royo, who damaged several pieces of property while in search of her brother, James.
She said he damaged two motorcycles and killed several chickens and a goat.
Royo’s wife, Sally, meanwhile, said her husband was enraged after hearing Lavega had killed his nephew, Kerwin Royo, the previous night.
Royo admitted her husband killed the said livestock, but denied he was armed during his scuffle and said it would be “impossible” he was responsible for the death of five-year-old John Michael Mirano./WDJ
