The Iloilo City government, under acting Mayor Jose Espinosa III, provided 15 students with disabilities a P5,000 allowance, earlier this week.

“We encourage all PWD (persons with disabilities) individuals to continue striving and working hard to finish their studies,” said Office of Persons with Disability Affairs (OPDA) head Blessilda Mabilog.
Among the recipients include four from the University of Iloilo, three from the Iloilo Science and Technology University, and two from West Visayas State University. Other beneficiaries included students from St. Therese College, the Western Institute of Technology, University of San Agustin, Central Philippine University, and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)./WDJ
