The Philippine Franchise Association (PFA), in partnership with the Iloilo City government, recently held a regional franchise show at Robinsons Place Iloilo.
“We were able to promote franchising and its economic benefits to cities outside Metro Manila,” said PFA president, Dr. Alan Escalona. “Franchising is a perfect training ground for aspiring entrepreneurs.”
Around 30 franchisees took part in the event, which included business matching sessions and a talk on “How to Invest in the Right Franchise Wisely.”
Department of Trade and Industry-Region VI (DTI-6) Officer in Charge Rebecca Rascon said the event was also a benefit for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
“We would like to encourage them to invest in something that has returns not only for themselves but for their families and the next generation,” she said. “This was a good opportunity for them to find out which businesses they can invest in.”/WDJ
