Ilocos Sur is set to host the 2018 Palarong Pambansa, a first for the province since 1973.
They had also previously hosted the event in 1953.
Around 12,000 student-athletes, trainers, chaperones, and coaches are expected to converge for the event, which is scheduled from April 16 to 20, 2018.
Meanwhile, with the dissolution of the Negros Island Region, Negros Occidental will return to Region 6, the Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association, alongside Iloilo, Capiz, Antique, Aklan, and Guimaras./WDJ
