Capitol recently pulled off a narrow 79-78 win over Fyrfyters in the ongoing 2017 D’League at the STI-West Negros University gym.
Fyrfyters was ahead by one point, coming out of the first period up 20-19; however, following ten points from Born Enaya in the second quarter, Capitol went into halftime up 40-38.
The eventual winners maintained a narrow lead throughout the remainder of the game.
Marte Sellado led Capitol with 19 points, followed by Enaya with 14 and RR dela Cruz with 13.
In the other games, SJI Dads suffered their first loss, falling 66-62 to Nena’s; while BAPRO beat Akasya, 86-71./WDJ
