Tricycle driver shot by father and son in Villamonte

A tricycle driver was shot by a father and son at Don Fernando-Apitong Streets, Villa Angela Subdivision, Barangay Villamonte in Bacolod City on Wednesday morning.
Police Station 4 (PS4) identified the victim as 38-year-old Jose Ryan Deslate, a resident of San Juan Villa Homes, Barangay Vista Alegre in the said city.
According to authorities, the suspects, identified as 58-year-old Victor Lopez, Sr. of Block 14, Purok Paghigugma, Barangay Alijis; and his son, Victor Lopez, Jr. of the same area where Deslate resides, blocked Deslate while aboard his tricycle and pointed a firearm at the victim, along with punching him on the left cheek.
The suspects fired at the victim as he ran away, but missed. The father and son subsequently fled in an unknown direction.
Deslate noted, there is an existing grudge between him and the suspects.
Police recovered a fired cartridge from the crime scene.
PS4 is currently conducting a follow-up operation against the suspects./WDJ
