Nena’s recently defeated POC, 67-63, while SJI Dads narrowly edged Alegria Farm, 69-67, in the ongoing 2017 D’League at the STI-West Negros University.
POC took a slim 16-15 lead early in the game; however, Nena’s would later turn things around and go into the half ahead, 39-31.
By the third quarter, four three-pointers from Sunny Boy Edrina helped push POC back into the lead, putting them up 51-50.
Nena’s would go on to recapture the lead in the final period.
Rommel Galanida paced Nena’s with 13 points, followed by Badong Perez with 11.
In the other game, Chao Lacson led SJI Dads with 13 points in their win over Alegria Farm.
Despite the loss, Bryle Sales managed to score a total 16 points for his side./WDJ
