Man hacked by home invader in Murcia

A man was hacked in his home at Purok Bato, Barangay San Miguel, Murcia, Negros Occidental, early Sunday evening.

Police identified the victim as 52-year-old Rogelio Villar.

According to investigators, the suspect, Joelito Camilo, a resident of Barangay Kumaliskis, Don Salvador Benedicto, allegedly entered the home and attacked the victim.

Villar suffered hack wounds to the left side of his body and was rushed to the Murcia Rural Health Unit.

The suspect, meanwhile, was captured and is currently detained at the custodial facility of the Murcia Municipal Police Station./MIS, WDJ
