Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. led the groundbreaking ceremony on the 2.5-kilometer Batad-Embarkadero road over the weekend, alongside Batad Mayor Pedro Alarcon, in the town’s Barangay Hamod.

Costs for the project are quoted at P42.6 million.

Road clearing began last month, with the estimated completion date set for December 16.

The road is intended to provide accessibility to local barangays, along with facilitating for the transportation of produce./JAN, WDJ
