Barber shot dead in Bacolod City

A barber was shot dead by an unidentified suspect at Purok Sigay, Barangay 2, Bacolod City, yesterday around noon.

Police Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias, station commander of Police Station 2 (PS2), did not name the fatality but identified him as “Shane,” of legal age, and a temporary resident of Purok Tilapia, Barangay 3, Bacolod City.

According to Villarias, witnesses claimed an unidentified suspect wearing a helmet approached the victim and shot once.

The victim was shot on the left side of his eye and died on the spot.

Villarias added the crime may be related to drugs.

Currently, PS2 is conducting a manhunt operation into the identification and possible arrest of the suspect./MIS, WDJ
