MassKara Festival organizers are now accepting entries for the “Nights of Mardi Gras” costume competition, an official event of the annual celebration.
Participants must be at least 16 years old, with a costume that includes a half-mask.
A maximum 50 entries will compete over two days in a 7:00 p.m. parade on October 10 and 11 in the Bacolod Public Plaza; with the top eight contestants from each night qualifying for the grand finals, scheduled for October 12.
The winner receives P10,000, while second place wins P7,000, third place – P5,000, fourth place – P3,000, and fifth place – P2,000.
