One dead, 31 injured following multi-vehicle collision in Bago City

One person died, while another 31 were injured, following a collision between a truck, a tricycle, and a Ceres bus along the national highway at Purok Paghidaet, Barangay Taloc, Bago City over the weekend.
Police identified the fatality as 24-year-old bus passenger April Rex Villegas, a resident of Purok Elga, Barangay Don Jorge Araneta in the said city.
According to Bago City Police Station traffic investigators, the truck, driven by 28-year-old Ricardo Rojo, a resident of Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City, was heading north when it collided with a tricycle that was parked along the side of the road.
The collision forced the truck into oncoming traffic, where it crashed with a Ceres bus heading towards Barangay Ma-ao in Bago City.
The front portion of the truck was completely destroyed, while the bus tipped over on its side.
The injured were rushed to hospitals throughout Bacolod City./WDJ
