Following numerous complaints regarding sugarcane trucks parked along the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road and congesting the route, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) announced they would be conducting a dialogue with local sugarcane truck operators.
In a radio interview yesterday morning, LTO-Bacolod head Renato Novero said the trucks have been lined up along the road as they wait their turn for milling by the First Farmers Holding Corporation, based in Barangay Dos Hermanas, Talisay City.
He said the planned discussion will include sugar planters, truck drivers, milling company administration, and the Talisay City government.
Aside from motorists, Novero pointed out, local residents have also complained about the trucks blocking the entrance into their residences./WDJ
