A five-year-old was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a van at Kilometer 59, Purok Caimito, Barangay Bunga, Don Salvador Benedicto, Thursday afternoon.
Police identified the victim as Marco Spencer Montilla.
Traffic investigators of the Don Salvador Benedicto Municipal Police Station said the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Michael John Muyco, was driving towards San Carlos City when the victim unexpectedly crossed the street.
Montilla was sent to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod City after incurring multiple injuries across his body.
The suspect and his van are currently under the custody of the Don Salvador Benedicto Municipal Police Station./WDJ
