Sagay City father caught using illegal drugs by son, arrested by police

A father was arrested at Purok Mahidaeton, Barangay Paraiso, Sagay City in Negros Occidental, late Monday afternoon, after he was caught using illegal drugs by his son.
Police identified the suspect as 56-year-old Benny Adraneda, a resident of the said purok.
According to the Sagay City Police Station, Adraneda’s son, identified as Ace Vincent Adraneda, witnessed his father about to use suspected shabu, as he was holding an improvised tooter and a disposable lighter. The son and his younger brother rushed to their father and immobilized him with a rope.
They subsequently called the police and reported the incident.
Recovered from the scene were an improvised tooter, a disposable lighter, and an open plastic bag of suspect shabu.
The elder Adraneda is currently under the custody of the Sagay City Police Station.
The recovered drug paraphernalia has since been forwarded to the Regional Crime Laboratory Office./WDJ
