Following their 7-0 loss to host country Myanmar earlier this week, the Philippines was officially eliminated from the ongoing 2017 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U-18 Youth Championship in Yangon.
After four matches, the team, which included three Negrenses on the roster, failed to earn a win.
Local players that took to the pitch included Joshua Broce of San Carlos City, Liam Perez of Cadiz City, and Jericho Siconieguei of Bago City.
With the exception of a 3-2 loss to Brunei, the Philippine squad was shutout in all of their other matches.
The tournament is expected to end on Sunday, September 17./WDJ
