Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Director Guiling Mamondiong visited Negros Occidental earlier this month to launch the Yolanda Rehabilitation and Recovery Program (YRRP) in the province, during an event at Philippine Normal University-Cadiz.
According to a release from the agency, there are approximately 11,700 beneficiaries of the program across the province.
YRRP provides skills training programs in construction, along with other livelihood tracks.
Following training, beneficiaries are expected to take part in building projects at relocations sites under the National Housing Authority (NHA).
Following the event, Mamondiong visited local communities that benefited from aid associated with Super Typhoon Yolanda relief./WDJ
