Grade 7 student stabbed dead by uncle in Mansilingan

A Grade 7 student was allegedly stabbed to death by his uncle at Hermilinda Homes, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City, Monday evening.
Police identified the fatality as 12-year-old Elino Cresincio III, a resident of the said barangay.
According to an official probe by Police Station 7 (PS7), around 7:00 p.m., Cresincio, along with his sibling and cousin, were ordered to make a purchase at a nearby store.
However, unknown to the victim, they were being stalked by 33-year-old Mike Cresincio, who stabbed the boy in the neck, chest, and sides.
The victim was rushed to a hospital in Bacolod City, however, he was declared dead on arrival by hospital staff.
The elder Cresincio was arrested by police shortly after the incident.
In an interview with the suspect last night, he admitted he wanted to kill his nephew, claiming the 12-year-old stole his dog.
The victim’s father, Elino Cresincio II, meanwhile, said the victim’s uncle suffers from mental problems and previously had a nervous breakdown after he was dumped by a girlfriend.
The assailant is presently detained at PS7./WDJ
