The Bacolod City government kicked off their Tourism Week observance yesterday, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC).
According to City Tourism Officer Ma. Elma Gerasmo, the event, which ends on Friday, September 15, will highlight various tourist attractions throughout the city; along with specialty cuisines, including food from Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, China, and Thailand, in the food alley at the BCGC atrium.
A film screening will also be held every afternoon from Monday to Thursday, beginning at 3:00 p.m., in the BCGC lobby.
The weeklong observance will culminate with a cosplay event; a kimono parade; and a presentation of folk dances from the Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, Taiwan, and India./WDJ
