A father and son were arrested by a joint entrapment operation conducted by Police Station 4 (PS4), PS8, and PS9 at Purok Villa Lourdes, Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City, last Thursday afternoon.

Police have not revealed the identity of the culprits, but confirmed the pair are father and son, with the son being a minor, who confessed to stealing a motorcycle.

According to PS4 chief, Police Senior Inspector Ritchie Gohee, the two were caught following a carnapping incident that occurred towards the rear of STI-West Negros University, last Wednesday night.

Gohee said police received a report claiming a motorcycle was being sold to a shop owner in the said purok, prompting authorities to conduct the operation.

Recovered from the suspects were the stolen motorcycle, a small sachet of suspected shabu, and marked money.

The suspects are currently detained at the custodial facility of PS8 and face charges of carnapping and robbery, extortion, along with violations to RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./MIS, WDJ
