The Bacolod City government turned over two new ambulances earlier this week to the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) during rites at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC).

The two vehicles, which cost about P3.3 million in total, are equipped with an LED top light with siren, a medical floor mounted cabinet, a fully collapsible stretcher with lock, oxygen tank and regulator, a wall-mounted blood pressure apparatus, first-aid kit, minor surgical kit, stethoscope, and spine board with holder.

CDRRMO OIC Dondon Parandas, who received the emergency vehicles, said the agency did not have an operational ambulance and had been using a surplus vehicle.

He added, one ambulance will be stationed at the BAYS Center, with the other designated for the BCGC.

Also present at the turnover were Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, and Executive Assistant Jose Ma. Vargas./WDJ
