Following the August 2017 Medical Technology (Med Tech) board examinations, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) named the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) the fourth best performing school in the field after 72 out of 73 test-takers passed.

Last year, UNO-R had the distinction of earning a 100 percent passing rate in the said exam, with Thea Franchette Andrei Villanueva Villa ranking ninth nationwide./WDJ
