A father died, while his two minor children were wounded, in a vehicular collision in Himamaylan City, Tuesday night.

Police identified the fatality as Ramon Mongcal, Jr., and the wounded as his two minor children aged 10 and 8; all residents of Barangay Su-ay in the said city.

Reports released by local police said Mongcal died on the spot after the tricycle he was operating collided with a private vehicle.

The children were sent to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod City after receiving wounds across different parts of their body.

Witness testimony claimed another vehicle tried to overtake Mongcal’s tricycle, which caused the crash.

Police are currently investigating the incident./MIS, WDJ
