ASEAN forum attracts 200

The recent Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Multi-Sectoral Forum, led by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), saw around 200 students, farmers, fisherfolk, local government representatives, members of the media, among others in attendance.

The event, part of a nationwide information campaign, included a briefing on ASEAN by PIA Information Center Manager Lorenzo Lambatin, Jr.; a discussion on freedom of information by PIA Information Officer Lilibeth French; a talk on “AmBisyon Natin 2040” by National Economic Development Authority-Region VI (NEDA-6) Research Division Senior Economic Development Specialist Marian Therese Pamonag; and a discussion called “Real Number” by Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) Police Community Affairs Unit OIC, Police Chief Inspector Edfel Balibadlan.

According to PIA-6 Operations head Jaime Cabag, Jr., who served as a resource speaker for the forum, PIA has been conducting activities throughout Bacolod City./WDJ
