Bacolod City Councilor Wilson Gamboa, Jr., who chairs the Bacolod Water Consumers Watch, Inc., or Bacolod Water Watch, will assemble representatives from each of the city’s barangays on Thursday, September 7, at the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) Session Hall in the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) to discuss the status of the Bacolod City Water District (Baciwa) bulk water supply contract with Bacolod Bulk Water, Inc. (BBWI).

Primarily, the discussion will focus on the city’s water supply shortage and concerns surrounding water refilling stations.

According to Gamboa, Bacolod Water Watch is a consumer watchdog group seeking to ensure water sufficiency and security for the city.

Baciwa General Manager, Atty. Juliana Carbon, and BBWI COO Ryan Yapkianwee are both expected to serve as resource speakers./DGB, WDJ
