During the third quarterly meeting of the City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) yesterday, the oversight committee declared Bacolod City Barangays 5, 24, and 41 “drug-cleared.”
According to Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) acting director, Police Senior Superintendent Jack Wanky, who serves as vice chair for the council, Barangays Cabug, Felisa, and Handumanan are currently under evaluation and may be in consideration for “drug-cleared” declarations next month.
Barangay 5 Captain Raymundo Salaveria, Barangay 24 Captain Leif Gregory Ledesma, and Barangay 41 Captain Leonilo Colegado were all on hand to receive certificates marking the accomplishment.
A “drug-cleared” declaration is provided following drug-clearing operations by the CADAC oversight committee and once a barangay has fulfilled a set of parameters determined by the Dangerous Drugs Board./WDJ
