Two suspected carnappers killed in police shootout in Sharina Heights

Two suspected carnappers were killed in a shootout with police along Virgo Street, Sharina Heights, Bacolod City, Monday evening.
Police identified the first fatality as 29-year-old Mark John Fabila, a resident of Purok Everlasting, Barangay 29 in the said city; while the second remains unidentified.
Police Station 6 (PS6) commander, Police Chief Inspector Jovil Sedel, said the station received a call from a concerned citizen saying there were suspicious men in an abandoned house in the Doña Juliana Subdivision.
When responding police arrived, they saw the suspects cleaning parts taken from a black car.
The suspects entered the abandoned house after spotting the police and went through the ceiling in an attempt to escape through the neighboring house.
Police pursued the suspects until Virgo Street, where the shootout took place.
Fabila and the unidentified suspect were sent to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) after receiving gunshot wounds, however, both later succumbed to their wounds.
PS6 is now conducting a follow-up investigation into the identification of the other suspect./WDJ
