A well-known restaurant in Barangay 5, Bacolod City, located across from the ABS-CBN-Bacolod compound, was robbed of P15,000 cash, Thursday morning.
Police identified the victim as 57-year-old restaurant owner Zosimo Maravilla, a resident of Barangay Mandalagan in the said city.
Police Station 2 (PS2) commander, Police Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias, said employees discovered the robbery after finding the cashier’s box had been disassembled.
After reviewing CCTV footage, investigators saw an unidentified man wearing a hooded jacket and shorts robbing the cash register.
Villarias said the station is now conducting a follow-up investigation into the identification and possible arrest of the suspect./WDJ
