Following their victory in the 2017 AFC Cup ASEAN Zone finals, Ceres-Negros FC returns to Philippines Football League (PFL) action with a match against Kaya FC-Makati today at the University of Makati Football Stadium at 4:00 p.m.
“The league is important for us because it allows us to represent the club internationally next year,” said Ceres midfielder Martin Steuble. “We will put all the focus on that game.”
He said of their upcoming opponents, “They are well-organized.”
The Negrense club currently sits in fourth place on the league table, eight points adrift from the top; while Kaya is in third place, ahead by five points. However, compared to the Makati City-based club, Ceres has five games in hand./WDJ
