The Department of Tourism-Region VI (DOT-6), in collaboration with the Negros Occidental provincial government, will hold a fun farms orientation on August 4 at the Capitol Social Hall.
“The region, mainly agricultural, has a lot of potential farms that can be developed into a tourist attraction,” explained DOT-6 director, Atty. Helen J. Catalbas.
Fifty farm owners and operators were invited to the activity to learn about product development and management of farms for tourism purposes.
“We are looking forward to encouraging more farm owners and operators to develop their farms for educational, production, and recreational purposes,” said Catalbas./WDJ
