Militant groups in Bacolod City are planning rallies today as President Rodrigo Duterte delivers his second State of the Nation Address (SONA).
Former Bayan Muna Representative Neri Colmenares, who spoke at a Martial Law forum at Negros Occidental High School (NOHS) yesterday, said groups will be holding their own SONA to assess the president’s promises.
“[Duterte] needs to do something drastic,” he said. “All his promises, he didn’t fulfill them.”
He also criticized the president’s foreign policy, saying he “shunned” the United States in favor of China.
“You fight off the US and then go closer to China, that’s not independent foreign policy,” said Colmenares./WDJ
