ASEAN School Games

The Philippine sepak takraw team took bronze at the ASEAN School Games in Singapore, which ended on Friday.

The team included six athletes from Negros Occidental, namely Ian Gerald Sudayan, June Clyde Abellano, Ricky Guarino, and Edhmic Dave Balderas of Victorias National High School; Paul John Embahador of Bata National High School; and Kervy Jules Cayetano of Lopez Jaena National High School (Murcia).

The Philippines finished sixth in the overall medal count, with 13 gold, eight silver, and 21 bronze medals.

Meanwhile, Thailand finished on top with 29 gold, 25 silver, and 32 bronze medals./JSG, WDJ
