Debt collectors robbed in Talisay City

Two debt collectors for a lending company were robbed by two unidentified men at a store located along Magdalena Street, Barangay Zone 12, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, Wednesday afternoon.

Police identified the victims as Ivan Kaye Peralta and Joan Tomarong, a field supervisor for a lending company based in Bacolod City.

Talisay City police reported the victims were collecting money inside a store owned by Venus Adivas when two unidentified men on a Honda motorcycle approached them.

One of the suspects pulled out an unknown caliber of firearm and declared a hold-up.

The suspect ordered the victims to hand over their collected money, which amounted to around P5,000.

The suspects fled the area on their motorcycle towards Talisay City proper.

A further investigation is being conducted by the station for the identification and future arrest of the suspects./MIS, WDJ
