A drug personality that surrendered under Oplan Tokhang was arrested in a buy-bust operation at Zone 6, Ylagan Extension, Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, Monday morning.

Police identified the suspect as 35-year-old Rosendo Molmorida, a street level drug target and resident of the said barangay.

San Carlos City police chief, Police Superintendent Arturo Fullero, said the operation was jointly conducted with the Philippine National Police (PNP) Maritime Group and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU).

Fullero stated the cops moved in after Molmorida handed one sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer, in exchange for P100.

A search of the suspect’s residence further yielded 10 sachets of suspected shabu, P220 worth of suspected drug proceeds, and several containers which were used to store the illicit substance.

Fullero added, the value of the seized drugs was around P50,000.

Molmorida faces illegal drugs charges and is currently detained at the San Carlos City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
