Provincial government kicks off Nutrition Month in Pontevedra

The Provincial Nutrition Council turned over 15 emergency buckets, or E-Baldes, to Pontevedra barangay captains, yesterday. Each E-Balde contains basic survival equipment, including flashlights, water, and hygiene kit.

The Negros Occidental provincial government kicked off their observance of the 43rd Nutrition Month yesterday at the Pontevedra municipal gym.
Provincial Health and Nutrition Action Officer, Dr. Ernell Tumimbang, addressed those gathered and discussed healthy living and disaster preparedness.
Provincial Medical Specialist III, Dr. Jessica Fama, who served as guest speaker, echoed the same sentiment.
“If we know how and what to prepare, it can save our life,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Nutrition Council also turned over 15 emergency buckets, or E-Baldes, to local barangay captains. Each E-Balde contains basic survival equipment, including flashlights, water, and hygiene kit./WDJ
