The Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Ceneco) is scheduled to open bidding for their 50 megawatt (MW) baseload power sales contract in December.
Ceneco General Manager Sulpicio Lagarde said their current contract with Korean Electric Power Corporation-Salcon Power Corporation (Kepco-SPC) is set to expire.
He noted, by December, Ceneco would need a total baseload of 64MW, but set aside 15 to 20MW, which will be sourced locally.
Lagarde assured consumers the current supply is stable, with its peak load being handled by Energreen Power Development in Bago City.
