A majority of Bacolod City officers from the anti-corruption group Task Force Crusaders (TFC) were recently dissolved from the organization over allegations of corruption and links to illegal drugs.
According to TFC deputy for operations Manny Villaera, some members have been acting on personal interest rather than helping authorities.
He said the group cannot afford to lose sight of the “real crusade,” which is to help the government address the problems of criminality, illegal drugs, and corruption.
Villaera claims some members allegedly extorted money from Maguindanao Governor Toto Mangudadatu, while three others were allegedly involved with illegal drug operations in Iloilo.
Meanwhile, former TFC member and current Task Force Kasanag commander John Chiong recently welcomed members during a recent anniversary event at the Grand Regal Hotel./WDJ
