The Negros Occidental Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will launch a business mentorship program for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) called the Mentor Me Program on Thursday, June 29.
“The Mentor Me Program is in partnership with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship and it aims to scale up and improve the operations of businesses in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental,” said senior trade and industry development specialist Romel Amihan. “Participants will be taught various topics on business with the expectation they will be serious and committed.”
The program will admit 20 participants and is comprised of 10 weekly sessions, covering a variety of topics including business model canvass, product development, operations management, supply and value chain, human resource and organization management, taxation, and business law.
According to industry development division chief Rachelle Nufable, participants will be taught by existing entrepreneurs who have experienced success with their respective businesses./WDJ
