Are the military on alert?

The ongoing situation in central Mindanao must be paid serious attention by other parts of the country as it can happen anywhere and at any time. This means, military and police in Negros Occidental should not just be sitting around waiting for an ambush.
The military and police must be proactive in order to thwart any possible aggression.
In its current state, police attitudes need to be reviewed.
Police visibility is very important in maintain safety and it would be better for locals to see policemen patrolling the streets, along with military officers roaming seaports and airports.

Recently, the Land Transportation Office-Region VI (LTO-6) conducted a weeklong operation in order to apprehend traffic violators. According to the LTO, over 500 were apprehended on violations ranging from not wearing a seat belt to driving without a license to operating an unregistered vehicle.
Kudos to LTO Regional Director Roland Ramos and LTO Provincial Law Enforcement head Renato Novero.

Nearly halfway through the year, President Rodrigo Dutetre is nearing his first full year of accomplishments. While critics remain, who are willing to do anything to discredit him, it is amusing to see how none of this criticism was offered for his predecessor.
