A suspected member of the infamous “akyat bahay” gang victimized a house at Purok Langka, Barangay Dos Hermanas, Talisay City, yesterday morning.
Police identified the victim as 53-year-old Richard Nepomuceno, a resident of the said barangay.
An investigation by Talisay City police found the suspects gained entry by climbing the canopy of the terrace on the second floor and opened a sliding door, accessing the house.
Once inside, the unidentified suspect took two mobile phones, cash, a pair of shoes, two ATM cards, and a bank book.
In all, the suspect carted away P88,000 worth of cash and items.
Talisay City police are still conducting a follow-up investigation into the incident./WDJ
